Top 7 Reasons why men seek counseling
Men aren’t immune to life’s problems and the side effects that come along with them. Rates of depression and anxiety have increased over the last decade. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among 25-34 year old men and 4th among 35-44 year old men according to the CDC. Men are less likely to seek therapy as there is often a stigma attached to seeking help for mental health issues.
I provide counseling for men in my practice here in Charlotte and they have a lot of success meeting their goals and feeling better fairly quickly. Many of them comment on how it’s not as bad as they thought it’d be and they feel comfortable sharing difficult stuff pretty easily.
A quote from a past client “Josh is not only a skilled therapist, but also a genuine, kind and caring person. As a guy, it can be hard to open up but Josh always puts me at ease and makes me feel comfortable. He is non-judgemental, insightful and challenges me in the best way. I would not hesitate to recommend Josh to anyone considering looking for some counseling support. You won’t regret it! Josh is the best!”
